Current Teaching Positions

Foundry is Tasmania's answer to creative education, offering students unique, top-tier and industry connected courses that will lead them from their passion to future employment.

We are currently looking for a number of qualified designers to teach a variety of creative disciplines to our students. 

Positions vary in time commitment and location and will suit individuals who are freelancing or currently working within the industry and wanting to give back to the next generation and potential future employees. Please feel free to forward this position on to any agency/individual you think would be suited.

Applicants will need to make themselves available for a full week of TAE training from Feb 6 - 10

  • Design and Creative Business Teachers | Hobart | Full Time

  • Interactive Design Teacher | Hobart | 2-3 days p/w | Casual

*  Successful teaching applicants will need to complete TAE training (if required) from Feb 6-10

General Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. (Unreal Engine for Interactive Design Teacher)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of current trends (education and/or industry).

  • Organised record keeping and efficient work practices.

  • Ability to work within a team.

  • A love for Tasmania and a passion to see Tasmanian talent thrive.

 Desired Skills

  • Education course development and mapping experience.

  • Course material development experience.

  • Teaching experience.

  • Great sense of humour.


  • Bachelor of Graphic Design or higher (similar creative qualification accepted if relevant to discipline you will be teaching).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) - Can be provided through Foundry subject to applicant availability.
